How often does the FMCSA update Inspection, Crash and other data found on SMS?

The Monthly Snapshot Date and the Approximate Release Date for updates to the FMCSA's SMS data is implemented based on the following: 

1. The input of data depends on the speed the Officer at the roadside inspections sends his State inspection data to FMCSA to start the process. 
2. Once the data is updated in FMCSA on the Approximate Release Date, Navigator receives the updated FMCSA files and uploads those into Waypoint and Northstar. This is typically within a day or two from the Approximate Release Date.
